String Fellow Hawke, a former Vietnam chopper pilot, and the only man in the free world trained to fly the billion-dollar helicopter "Airwolf" you have been assigned a dangerous rescue mission by the Firm.
Airwolf is a highly sophisticated, billion dollar combat helicopter, capable of super-sonic speeds with a weaponry system way ahead of its time.
Hawke is the only pilot capable of handling Airwolf and so has been appointed the task of penetrating the defence systems of an underground terrorist base devised by the criminal mastermind General Zaranov.
The General has created what he believes to be the most sophisticated and impenetrable prison known to man.
Imprisoned in the depths of these tortuous caves located deep below the sun-scorched deserts of Arizona, are the General's team of brilliant scientists kidnapped and imprisoned only to serve the General in his quest for world dominance.
You, as String Fellow Hawke, must rescue the scientists and overcome the massive defence capabilities using a combination of arcade skill and fast logical thinking.
Your many missions will take you through the miles of treacherous caverns and tunnels, each leading to the completion of your supposedly impossible objective.
"Go for it, Stringfellow Hawke!"
