Enter the crazy world of 4 Most Fun: four hilarious games on one cassette that will have you racking your brains and splitting your sides. In 'Bargain Basement', Money has to run the gauntlet of the super sale without losing his way or his credit. 'Slug' meanwhile, searches a strange land full of stranger creatures for his sweetheart and in 'Everyone's A Wally', Wally and his incompetent gang are trying to crack a safe so they can pay the wages. Then there's poor old 'Rik The Roadie' trying to set up a rock gig all on his own.
Fun Fun Fun Fun all the way with 4 Most Fun.
Wally is back, this time with his family in the first ever multi-role arcade adventure.
Not only does Wally appear fully animated, but also Wilma, Herbert, Tom, Dick and Harry. The purpose of the game is to find the combination for the safe and then pay the gang's wages.
The combination is split and can be found in different locations.
Not only must the combinations be identified, but also the right items to collect the combination must be used. The locations are many and varied, and contain zany arcade sequences which must be completed to finish the adventure.
Each character has specific abilities and it is up to the player to select which one will perform a particular task.
The game starts with the whole gang in the Town Square by the fountain. You have control of Wally, so the rest of the gang go off about their own business. As Wally cannot do everything himself, you will have to select one of the other characters, (except for Herbert, he is totally uncontrollable) to perform the various tasks.
This is achieved by pressing the appropriate Character Select key while they are on the current screen.
While a character is not under your control, he or she may be carrying out other tasks, which may help or hinder you.
If you reach the edge of the screen while walking about town, you will continue to the next location. However, some of the screens have exits other than at the extreme left or right, e.g. a door or a road. To leave at these points you should press the exit key whilst at the appropriate position.
There is another, faster way of getting across town, but it is more risky than walking.
To complete the game, all the pieces of the safe's combination must be taken to the safe in the correct order.
To pick an object up, simply walk in front of it. It will then be exchanged for one already carried. The two objects carried, are displayed at the top of the screen. All this rushing around is hard work, so the characters must eat and drink to keep themselves going. Wally isn't too fussy about what he eats, but the rest of the gang may be more choosy.
Each character has a part to play.
Wally is a builder and odd job man by trade, so you should use him for mixing cement etc. Wilma is Wally's wife, and so might do the shopping. Herbert, Wally and Wilma's pride and joy, doesn't do anything except get in the way. Tom, the punk, is a mechanic, Dick is the plumber and Harry is the electrician.
You will find it necessary to complete the varied arcade sequences to obtain certain objects.
In some arcade sequences, the controls will alter to suit the game.
All controls are redefinable.
Get your carrier bags at the ready folks for the craziest sale on earth is about to begin. Our hero, Money, just can't resist going shopping using his 'Excess Card', especially if there are bargains to be had.
For instance, he has only just heard about a new bargain basement at Harridges the world famous department store. Now he can snap up bargains all year, and buy birthday presents for his mates 'Cash' and 'Credit'.
You have to help him charge around the basement, on an insane spree, buying up objects as you go. Make sure you spend over 5% of your credit limit without going over it. If it danger, you can swap items for cheaper bargains once five items have been bought.
On the way you may bump into some of Money's friends and gain an extra life, but beware, he also has his enemies, disguised as bargains, who want to end the spree and close the account!
You should also look out for the four figures of the till combination, picking them up as you go. You'll need these for paying the bill. Having discovered all four numbers you must hunt for the check-out area. If you find it, a new screen will appear showing the keyboard layout of the cash register. Tricky as it may be however, you must guess the right combination.
The display will flash when you do. However, you can only be successful if you are within five per cent of your credit limit and finish before the card expires at the end of the year. So, good luck, and see if you are good enough to ring a 'change' in the bargain basement! - Happy bargain hunting!
At the start of each game you have the following control option:
Having pressed 4, you will be faced by a blank Excess Card, which you must sign using the keyboard. Then press ENTER twice.
When you collide with a bargain you will be given an option of whether or not to purchase:
Y - Yes, I would like to purchase it
N - No, I do not want to purchase it
You can pause the game at any time by pressing the fire button, whereupon the account will be frozen. To restart, press ENTER.
Picture the scene. It's Friday night, 11pm. Slug and his sweetheart are settling down in front of the gogglebox to watch the Friday Nite Horror Movie, 'Emperor Hades Meets The Yak-Faced Melboids From East London Part 37 (Revisited)' when, from out of nowhere, a huge mechanical hand reaches down and plucks your beloved from before your very eyes.
Bewilderment quickly turns to determination as you vow, whatever the cost, to save her.
You discover that she has been taken to a strange land where monstrous creatures roam. (No, not Glasgow silly!) These creatures include Snails, Turtles, Snakes, Blobs on legs, and Sheep on Springs.
Your task then is to collect the hearts that will guarantee your girlfriend's release. The number needed to complete each screen varies with the level you are on.
You must also be on the lookout for bombs. These count down from 9 to zero before exploding, but you can defuse them simply by running into them.
You may think that all of this is too much for a lowly slug to handle, but you are armed with T.N.T.S. (Tri-Nitro-Toluene Slime!!) which will destroy the creatures on contact.
So... there you have it, your quest awaits. And remember, even if it seems you have found your beloved, all is not what it seems!!
O - Left, P - Right, SPACE - Fire, Q - Jump, S - Toggle Pause

You are Rik, roadie to the world famous pop group Alternative Rock. In order for Alternative Rock to stay popular, you as their roadie must get all their equipment to the gig, take it into the hall, and set up the sound levels before the gig starts.
Stage 1:
You have 200 miles to go to reach the site of the next gig. You have only six hours to get there, set the gear up, and check the sound levels. Get to the gig as quickly as possible, avoiding all oncoming traffic. Hitting anything will cost you time, as your van is repaired.
Stage 1 Game Controls:
O - Left, P - Right, Q - Accelerate, A - Brake
Stage 2:
Now you are at the gig, you have to carry the equipment from the van into the hall. As amplifiers and speakers are very heavy, you cannot hold them for very long. Move as fast as possible before your endurance runs out, and you drop the very heavy (and expensive) equipment.
Stage 2 Game Controls:
O - Move left foot, P - Move right foot
Stage 3:
Finally, the equipment is set up, and all that remains is set up the power levels. Too low, and the audience cannot hear the group. Too high, and the fuses blow.Keep the levels in the red, and soon as the optimum level is reached, the next sound channel is automatically selected. Once all four channels have been set, you can sit back, relax and watch your group the world famous Alternative Rock perform live on stage.
Stage 3 Game Controls:
* - Power Up, ? - Power Down
Once all three stages have been completed, then you have to transport the equipment to the next gig, with less time to complete it in!
