Curse Of The Pharaoh

Tutankhamun's Revenge

Remember the fashion for poor Manic Miner clones for the BBC Micro? Games where the animation was jerky, the graphics were dull, and the controls were unresponsive? Bug-Byte has revived the genre with Tutankhamun's Revenge.

It's an arcade adventure - a pretty familiar format. Yet the game is difficult to play - or rather, just plain awkward. The odd bugs sprinkled through the game don't help.

The only vaguely unusual thing is the inclusion of a game designer, but this too is substandard. The games it allows you to design are even more limited than the main game! I've never even managed to finish designing a game - it always crashed, losing hours of work. The whole thing is poorly done.
