The Job

The Job is a short but fun text adventure from author Fredrik Ramsberg who entered the game in this year's PunyJam#1. The game is simple, you have a job to do, whether you like it or not, and that job is to enter the Red Anchor Pub and try to solve the puzzles that will open the safe, which will hopefully contain the necklace you've been tasked with retrieving.

The game begins with you searching the pub before being pushed into the broom closet by persons unknown. Here you'll find a note from 'Ricky' who's the person that wants the necklace. There's only a handful of screens to explore, and it will soon become apparent to you what the central puzzle is to try and solve, although it's not as easy as you might think and only with a bit of thought and reading the clues carefully will you achieve your goal. Overall, a good little text adventure if you have a spare hour or so to kill.

The text is well written and paints a picture of your surroundings. There's not an awful lot of puzzles to contend with, other than the main one, but this takes a bit of thought.
