Snow Strike
Kick butt in your F14 Superfighter.
April 1999, despite continual opposition from Congress, the President has vowed to declare formal way against the South American drug barons, who are polluting his nation.
Off the West Coast of South America, the aircraft carrier USS Epyx moves into position, bearing a squadron of a brand new jet fighter, the F14-LCB COSMOS.
Briefing at 13.00 hours: prepare for the first solo run of Operation Snow Strike.
Enter your credentials into the on-board computer and select a training mission; no one would be fool enough to take on the forces of the drug barons unprepared. Get the feel of the aircraft, practise manoeuvres, then pick one of the ten exhilarating missions and start dealing out death in large quantities.
You'll be involved in dogfights, air-to-ground attacks and vice versa as you attempt to destroy fields of evil weed, complexes and warehouses. At the end of each mission, the information you have gained will be fed into the computer.
Graphically, the game looks excellent, and there is more than enough excitement to get the old adrenalin going. As an added twist, you can't even trust your companions; those evil barons have double agents in their pay just where you least expected it.
Although Snow Strike is not designed as a simulator, you'll need to be pretty adept to dodge incoming missiles and some of the views look breathtaking from the cockpit.
Action is what this set of missions is all about, and with the excellent storyline, it should keep you hooked to your screen until the last crop of toxic weed is wiped from the face of the Earth. Prepare for take-off.
