Q. In issue 102 you published a Spectrum program called Flexitext. However, I was extremely disapppointed as I find it impossible to distinguish between the number 1 and lower case I.

Other members of my club have the same problem. Can you let us know which is which?

A. The variable name 'I' only occurs in lines such as LET I = number, with the exception of line 9060 where it crops up in the statement ... j=4+v*I).

Would-be contributors of programs should note that use of lower case L and the letter O should be avoided because of the confusion with the numbers one and zero.
