What better way to start programming than typing in a few games?
Sixty games and programs from Sinclair User are included in the book. All listings are very clear and no problems should be encountered entering them into your Spectrum.
There is even a section explaining how to enter programs and the conventions used for graphic and inverse characters.
Programs included in the book range from Jannis the Menace, in which you have to knock as many cans as possible off a wall before your granny catches you with her slipper, to Personal Finance, which helps you keep track of your financial situation.
If you want arcade standard games you will be disappointed with this book - go down to the computer shop and buy a game for a fiver. On the other hand, sixty programs for £3.95 can't be all that bad and you may even learn something about programming.
