Prehistorik

Now look, don't snigger. Just because it's written in STOS doesn't mean that Prehistorik is a bad game. Jesty japes aside, it turns out that Prehistorik actually isn't all that bad. You play the part of a caveman known as - well, it doesn't matter. It's a platform game which enables you to bash a lot of cute monsters and then jump on their heads in order to eat them. There are the usual gaps for you to jump, spiky rocks to avoid or destroy, and flying things that hassle you. Now and again an Indian guide appears. Bash him before he disappears and you gain a bonus along the lines of extra time, a smart bomb and so on.

There you have it. A no frills few thrills straightforward "romp". The graphics are bright, colourful and decently animated, the sound is average and the gameplay unsurprising. Worth the dosh? Nope - it's too repetitive and bland, but some may like it. The most surprising thing about this is you wouldn't suspect it was written in STOS. Good job we told you then, isn't it?
