As BBC users still wait in vain for second processors from Acorn, another Cambridge company has stepped in to plug the gap. Cambridge Microprocessor Systems (0223 276791) has introduced a 6809 board that comes with 64K of memory and can be installed under the lid of the BBC. In addition to the board, the company is also offering the Flex disk operating system to allow users access to a wide range of software including languages such as PL9, C, BCPL, Pascal, Fortran, Forth and Cobol. The board and connecting cable costs £259 plus VAT with Flex at £130.
