Ahhh, the joy of putting a pellet in those tin pot helmets so beloved of the Third Reich. Medal Of Honor was one of the few first-person shooters on PSone to capture the imagination, and its sequel, Medal Of Honor: Underground, is sure to do the same.
This time round the star of the show is a dusky young thing by the name of Manon - Lt Patterson's informant from the first game. Her brother's killed in the first level, driving her into the arms of the Paris resistance and to missions that span Europe and North Africa.
Everything that made the first game great here in abundance: tension, action, suspense, education (really!) and Dreamworks' magic touch. Vive la resistance.
Deeply atmospheric, Underground could be described as merely a mission pack, but it's just as exciting and immersive to play as the first game and should be described as a grande victoire.
