This book is explicitly a beginner's guide to working with the BBC Microcomputer. Starting with an explanation of what a computer is, the author takes you through the complexities including animation, strings, the use of flowcharts, editing, arrays, the comprehensive sound capabilities of the BBC Micro and includes a case history of a bugged program.
Included in the text are 28 complete and ready-to-run programs and another twelve "additional programs" are listed at the end of the book which can be copied and RUN at any stage.
The book was written before the full BBC Manual was available but it is suggested that the two should be used in conjunction with each other.
