The cutest budgie in the west swoops in on his very own Game Boy Color platform adventure!

Tweety's High-Flying Adventure

Here's a puzzle. If you need a cartoon character to travel around the world collecting cat paws for charity, which in itself is rather cruel, which cartoon character would you pick? Well, Tweety Pie, the camp little yellow weakling, may not be first choice, but it is he that has to complete this sick task to save an orphanage or something.

I Taut I Taw A Platform Game!

When Granny sends Tweety off on his global mission, you find yourself flapping around different scrolling levels, from Ancient Egypt to the streets of London Town, avoiding pesky villains and looking for unsuspecting cats to bash and de-paw. On the way, you'll naturally run into the entire Looney Tunes gang, from the helpful to the downright dethpicable putty-tat Sylvester.

When you first start the journey the trickiness of each battle and the more-than-familiar platform set-out make you want to switch off and go and do something less boring instead. But Tweety's High Flying Adventure is worth sticking with. The graphics and sounds are suitably up-beat and quirky and it's nice to see that every level is totally re-designed, with differing pick-ups and enemies in every country you visit.

I Did! I Did See One Of Them!

Tweety's High-Flying Adventure

On the other hand, although the game is compelling, it only takes an afternoon to complete and then you're a bit stuck. This is no title to buy if you want a really involving, clever game, but if you fancy a quick bit of fun with your Game Boy Color, you could do worse tan taking on the little yellow get.

Second Opinion

We all know that platform games are ten-a-penny on the Game Boy, but they still have a place in the release schedules, and seem to be one of the best selling genres! This Kemco creation starring Tweety is definitely aimed at the younger end of the scale with simple cartoon graphics and even simpler gameplay.
