This is an original game of tactics and investigation to be played between two to five people.
At the beginning of time there were five great races (primeval history courtesy of Red Shift): the Hurians, Daleks, Cybermen, Autons and Zarbi. Each had their own planet. As time progressed they grew and expanded and eventually wars broke out between the races in a bid to find the one overall master-race.
The players take the form of Time-lords, each assigned to one race. They travel the space-time matrix and influence wars which may have been lost in the past. To accomplish this task the Timelords have various powers which include time and space scanning devices, time traps and inference points.
Each Time-lord takes his turn in travelling throughout time and planets changing history and trying to seek out and destroy other Time-lords. Only when the last Time-lord has expended all his points or has been killed, does the game end and the master race become apparent.
This is not a game to be rushed as each player really has to take his turn without the other players seeing his move or map. It is a game of patience and strategy.
My main concern was that the graphic symbols were not of a high enough resolution to be practically used on a small screen television. In practice the game needs a 24-inch or bigger television. Also a greater use of sound would liven up the game a little. All in all an excellent game for the specialist market for which it is intended.
