The Last Jedi

This is a "Star Wars"-based text-only adventure with an unusual text-scrolling format. Sadly, it reduces to exploring very similar-looking caves to find the usual sorts of objects and killing various enemies.

Eventually, you get sick of killing endless stormtroopers with your lightsabre, and the game rapidly becomes boring. The out of tune Star Wars theme at the start is quite amusing, but otherwise there is little to excite players of this program.

One nice feature is that you can actually will some opponents to sleep rather than kill them. Because there are so many rooms (over 500!) good mapping is essential.

Games like this have been almost totally superseded by the recent graphical adventures. Text-only programs now need to have beautifully written descriptions of their locations; this one hasn't.
