The Smurfs have gone spotty - will you be able to save them?
The Adventures Of The Smurfs
If Smurfing's your thing then this is definitely the game for you. The Smurfs have turned orange and spotty and need your help to get them back to normal. As everyone knows, The Smurfs are usually blue and white and being this new colour makes them look extremely unwell.
Sick Smurfs
A poorly Smurf is not a happy one, so this new adventure is packed with different scenarios for you to help out in, and you get to choose which adventure to go on first. You can join Sailor Smurf trying to find his box of treasures, but you must beware of certain watery hazards such as whirlpools and rather uncharacteristically vicious turtles. Once through the water another dilemma confronts you. How are you at wading through knee-deep mud whilst trying to escape yellow snakes and bees?
Holing The Pots
If you like confined spaces, then you'll be at home with Potholer Smurf in the coal mine. Again, many unexpected obstacles stand in your way. How likely is it that you'll come across a Venus flytrap in a mine, eh? It only happens to The Smurfs!
It is apparent that this game is intended for the little 'uns. The graphics are colourful and fun in this world of floppy-hatted fellows. You must persevere through levels though, even when it seems that there is nowhere left to go. If you keep searching, you never know what you might find. This is a rather slow, unfulfilling game that you'll enjoy if you don't want a challenge. It's most suitable for younger children.
Second Opinion
As a cutesy kind of near-RPG, this new Smurfs game is fair enough. There are a few surprises along the way in an otherwise fairly unoriginal Smurfing adventure, but it's all over a bit quickly.
Before you complete the mission and change all the orange Smurfs blue, you're a bit sick of all the levels being very similar, and then you have to do it all again to get more cards! Only for the Smurfs.
