Target Renegade

After the original Renegade coin-op was successfully converted to home computers, Ocean took a few liberties with the licence, and released this, the second in the Renegade trilogy. As you might have guessed, it's a beat-'em-up set across the five levels that make up Scumsville, an urban jungle infested with the worst lowlifes you could imagine.

The aim of the game is simple - duff up everybody and everything whilst keeping your own skin intact. The Amstrad version of the original was little short of excellent, and Target Renegade carries on the tradition in fine form, with large, colourful sprites and addictive fumpin' fun, and for the budget price, you can't do better from a budget beat-'em-up. If fighting's your thing, grab it quick.

Amstrad

A dashed good game, and, as a budget re-release, Target Renegade should be snapped up at the first opportunity.
