Motorbiking, ooooh, motorbiking!
Supercross
Hallelujah, it's another racing sim, you may be thinking. But just you calm down, because Supercross is actually quite a bit more than just a press-accelerate-and-dodge-a-bit handheld racing game!
Leader Of The Pack
Even for folks who, quite understandably, are left cold by the thought of racing motorbikes (far too oily), Supercross is a really fun game, and great value or money. It's broken up into three sections: firstly, there's Freestyle, where you have to press a series of buttons shown to you by a lady in a bikini in mid-air to perform stunts (that all look pretty similar). This whiles away twenty minutes or so, but for real racing maniacs, the Supercross Challenge takes you on a circuit of straight races through world-famous supercross tracks, where it takes real skill to get the cup.
Brrm Brrm!
Best of all though, is the Arcade version with its "Mario Kart-style" pick-ups, awkward obstacles, four different course selections - from beginner to Super Turbo type racing - and three different tracks in each section.
Supercross is an ideal way to beat temporary boredom, and has enough in it to keep you playing off and on for years. And not as much as a spot of oil in sight.
