Trevor Storey was responsible for game design and graphics, with Achim Volkers as programmer. Richard Bayliss provided the music. The physical release is through Psytronik.
Gameplay
The player controls a Demon, endlessly running along the rooftops of Cybertropolis. He must be careful not to fall off the platforms or collide with a wall.
When he is running, the Demon can duck and roll under obstacles (by pushing down) or perform a somersault jump (by pressing the fire button). During a somersault, the fire button can be pressed again to doublejump, covering more distance. Hitting the '!' blocks turns them purple and earns bonus points. There are patrolling work droids and missiles to avoid.
While the Demon is somersaulting or rolling he can destroy a droid or missile, earning a bonus token to fill the power bar. When the power bar is full, a red icon appears; collecting this
transforms the Demon into a fast-flying jet that can collect more red icons to boost the score. After a short while, the Demon will transform back and continue running.

The graphics of this game are very impressive, with multiple layers of parallax scrolling. The Demon is a huge sprite shown in silhouette form, and is superbly animated. Backing this is an excellent
piece of music from Richard Bayliss that really drives the game along - and the title tune is worth a listen too. The two tunes can also be heard in the separately loaded music demo, with the Demon 'flossing' in time and some flashing effects that can be turned off.
Control is precise and easy to understand. Just like C64anabalt did, this infinite runner game will grip you to your seat, making you addicted to coming back to it, striving for an even higher score.
Dislikes
This can be a hugely frustrating game at first, as you will die time and again. There are also some tricky sections where avoiding death is very difficult; the thin red pillars are hard to jump off and you can easily mis-time a jump and end up hitting a wall. After a few games you have seen all the game has to offer.
A devilishly good game. Is Run Demon Run better than C64anabalt? I would say that, while Run Demon Run is more interesting due to the extra moves, C64anabalt still remains the greater technical achievement.
