Listen up babies - it's time to attack the Game Boy... again!
Rugrats In Paris: The Movie
It seems us handheld gamers just can't get enough of the Rugrats. The tots with attitude have now starred in a grand total o four games on the Game Boy and in this, their latest adventure, they're heading all the way to Paris, to the big shiny world of Euro ReptarLand.
Theme Park Party
With levels based on the recent movie, Rugrats In Paris is made up of countless mini-games which you must complete as you explore the theme park. These include sideshow-style games for the quick-fingered (although we've never played 'Throw A Bean Bag At The Mini-Sumo Wrestlers' down at our local fair), races and mini-platformers that in turn entertain or frustrate. Which is where the game's problem lies - one minute you're enjoying a spot of fast-paced action, the next you're battling to control your little chum in a confusing or plain difficult game that'll test your patience more than your skill.
Brimming with colourful games, cute characters and not a few challenges, Rugrats In Paris has the potential to be a truly riotous romp, but the awkward control, high difficulty levels and slow pace prevent it reaching its full potential. Patience is a virtue that it seems the Rugrats are determined to teach us - it's just a shame it prevents us enjoying all the fun of the fair.
