Rocket 'N Roll

Richard created this enhanced Shoot-'Em-Up Construction Kit game as part of his 'SEUCK School' tutorials. These are all available at the website tnd64.unikat.sk/SEUCK_School.html

The idea of this particular game is to demonstrate a power-up that can give the player a shield/invulnerability for a short while. This was achieved by hacking into the SEUCK code.

Now whenever the player's ship picks up the 'S' satellite (or dies), the ship becomes invincible for a short while – shown by the glowing colours. Although there is some nice music, this is a really basic SEUCK game in the sci-fi style. It needed more thought in the graphics and level designs to be considered better, but as a tutorial it works OK.
