What We Said Then

Jaz: It's challenging and amazingly addictive and keeps you glued to the machine for hours at a time - I just didn't want to stop playing.

The Revenge Of Shinobi

Matt: The graphics are exquisite, the music superb, and the gameplay out of this world!

What We Say Now

Jaz: This is just as good now as it was then. Presentation should come down to about 90%, but the rest of the ratings are fine. Combat platform games don't come much better than this.

Rich: Revenge Of Shinobi has aged very well - I still play it even now! However, I think that presentation was marked a tad highly. Most of those options are pretty standard these days. I'd take presentation down to 89%, put playability down to 93% and mark lastabiliity up to 94%. I'd award this game around 93% overall - it's still a great slash-'em-up.
