Quasimodo is another version of the hunchback game. In fact, there is little to choose between this version by Kingsoft and the Jadis one.

The Jadis one is more varied, but as I only received this tape for review at short notice I only got to the third screen. As there are 12 screens, the action may well heat up later.

Where this program scores is on the medieval music themes. The graphics are adequate, but animation is slow, being written in Basic. One interesting feature is that you can move backwards in mid-jump, giving you plenty of ways of avoiding malicious hazards.

In conclusion, this is a game that might appeal to children or players who don't like too fast a pace. It is available for £5.99 from Kingsoft, 77 Cheam Road, Ewell, Epsom, Surrey KT17 3EG.
