Panzer

This little tank game was inspired by R. International's military service and the PC game Codename: Panzers.

The player controls one of three tanks through an icon-driven interface, with the map shown top right. The player must defeat enemy tanks to liberate four bases (shown by flags). Liberating the base changes the flag. Once the player moves in range of an enemy it will start to shoot. There are also hidden landmines to avoid.

While the graphics are quite well-made (including the loading screen) and there is a nice title tune, once you have read the instructions there is not a huge amount of gameplay here - with just a single map to conquer. Control is complicated by having to switch between moving and firing, and some locations feature multiple enemies that are tricky to defeat.

Unfortunately, once the game has been beaten, there is little incentive to return.
