Oh no! Namco haven't had much in the way of luck with Megadrive games with only Rolling Thunder II cutting the mustard, as it were. Megatrax is one of their earliest titles. What's more it's completely pathetic.

It's a split-screen scrolling effort, with one or two players taking their Megatrax (that's quad-bikes to you and me) around a number of visually deficient dirt tracks.

Although the prospect of simultaneous two-player racing is very appealing, this game ruins it all heinously by being completely dull to play. There's no real feeling of speed when driving and the control response is dodgy too. Once again, another Megadrive racing game lacking in the goodness department.

"Steer" well clear.
