Lines and Angles are two programs from 4Mat Educational Software which have their own simple charm and effectiveness.

Any teacher introducing the concepts of vertical and horizontal lines and right angles could do far worse than use either of them.

They both use colour, graphics and sound to good effect and I am sure that any infant or junior child will be captivated and motivated by them.

Perhaps the sound effects to adult ears would soon become a nuisance but young children will love them - ship's hooter, a UFO, the whiring of helicopter blades, and the gobler, who makes his mouth, arm and legs open or position themselves at right angles (or more or less at right angles).

At a bargain price of £5 for the two, no primary school should be without them. Excellent value.
