Izzy Wizzy

At first sight, Izzy Wizzy looks like your average platform game. The type where you avoid the nasties and collect the objects to win. But it's actually a lot more than that. The objects you must find are actually spell ingredients and, with a bit of exploration, you'll be able to throw spells at the nasties too.

There are also bombs scattered around which must be primed by entering a four digit combination, and when one digit is in the right place its corresponding row stops flashing.

Finally, there are playing cards which either give you 15 score points or offer you double or nothing if you gamble.

Your aim is to collect all the spells, neutralise all the nasties and prime the three bombs. But certain spells only work on certain nasties and some of them are a bit, well, weird. Like the spell that changes one type of nasty into another type but seemingly only alters the sprite and its colour - I mean, really, it's cute but what's the point?

Still, control is good, graphics are good and all the extra interactivity does make for quite interesting gameplay, meaning Izzy Wizzy's a lot better than many games of this type. It's also easy to get into too.
