Purists may take offence that this game is described as an adventure, as the usual adventure format involves progressing from location to location by solving logical problems, and the places and objects always occupy the same positions.

In this game, the random factor is rife, and it is more a question of luck than judgement whether you achieve success.

Seven golden apples need to be recovered from seven locations, with such classic names as Werewolf Forest and Harpie Hill. Each one is described beautifully and then a screen is drawn round which you move your character dot or square.

The game then becomes disappointing. Sometimes you get a chance to avoid death, other times you are told "You fell down a pit and died" (or similar!) - end of game.

Sometimes moving once produced "You have found the golden apple!" and I once found an apple by moving onto quicksand, escaping and then moving back to the quicksand position!

Logic does not appear to be part of this game and it is far, far too easy to be killed.
