There's something about Gauntlet that makes it incredibly addictive - the ideal combination of running around a maze and mass destruction. Every level holds its own surprises... and exists lead to ever-more terrible tasks. And if the original isn't enough for you, there are always the 512 "deeper dungeons".
As nobody who's ever played the arcade original will know, to get the most from the game you need a partner, so beg, steal or borrow a second joystick so that you can take on the assorted nasties with some assistance.
The game's extremely playable but it's a pity that the graphics rather let it down by being far too small.
