Ferrari Grand Prix

The Flying Edge's Megadrive debut is definitely a game of two halves. The front end is truly excellent, offering options and a constructor's screen that puts it head-and-shoulders ahead of the likes of Super Monaco GP II. Unfortunately, however good this is, it's nothing if the actual in-cockpit racing action doesn't measure up.

This game has a very sad attempt at 3D update, which, while not being quite as awful as Fastest One, is still substandard to say the least. The opposing cars are also graphically inept. Even when you're right up behind them, they're still too titchy to really be Formula One cars - the graphic artist of this game obviously has no sense of scale.

What's more, the gameplay is dire. I'm not surprised that Ferrari haven't been able to get their hands on the World Championship if their cars handle as bad as this game suggests.

With the likes of Super Monaco GP II out now, there's no excuse to buy this lame, stunted effort.
