The Electron Advanced Graphics Workbook by Marcus D. Bowman, published by McGraw-Hill, is an excellent Electron-specific graphics book. Nor do you need to have done a lot of programming before you tackle this book. There's a fair bit of assembler but it's well documented and Mr. Bowman begins at the beginning when explaining what's going on.

If typing in listings, writing arcade games and messing about with graphics and assembler are your idea of a good time at the keyboard, then the graphics workbook is for you!
