Crazy Comets

This is such a simple game that the review will be short but this does not reflect the enjoyment to be gained from playing.

Pretending I didn't notice the similarity to Mad Planets, Crazy Comets is a battle through the galaxy against homicidal planets attracted by your ship's gravitational pull. A joystick gives free and easy movement across the full screen and the planets are depicted in attractive colourful graphics.

The best approach is to zap the planets as they approach from the distant reaches of the galaxy. The closer they are, the more shots required to finish them off. After the first phase is complete, the second phase brings more of the same but at the end there are space capsules to collect amid a shower of comets which whirl around the screen.

This is a very basic kind of game but it keeps you on your toes all of the time. It's the sort of game which is best played against a friend, each vying to better the other's high score. Good enjoyment value for money, but perhaps it may get boring after a while.
