Commando 2084

Here is an interesting hack of the classic Commando, asking the question - how would Commando play with the twin joystick control method of Robotron 2084?

It is primarily designed to be played with a modern joypad in emulation, as these will give twin sticks – or the Unijoysticle 2 for real hardware. I attempted to play in emulation, with two sets of keys. At first glance it looks and sounds the same.

There are some important tweaks though. The game is designed to be harder, and on levels 2 and 3 'bosses' from the C64 version of Robotron 2084 have been added in place of the original bonus baddies. In the wake of Commando Arcade, it looks less impressive as it has only the original 3 levels and there is sprite flicker - but it is a clever hack.
