This set is also available individually at £3 each. The compilation is very good value for money and the best way to buy. All use a standard form of presentation and teacher (parent) control which make them very easy to use.

Titles are:

  1. Monster, basic mental arithmetic practice;
  2. Wordsoft, practice in alphabetisation of word lists;
  3. Shoot, Shoot 2 and Shoot 3, all use the same format of Space Invader game to cover the four rules of number;
  4. Signs, practice in greater than, less than and equality of equations;
  5. Whichword, recognition of homophones;
  6. Estimate, involving estimate of length against a standard;
  7. Hangman, a rather poor graphic version; and
  8. Treasure, a very flexible coordinate game.

All have some educational merit though I feel they could be more exciting. I am still searching for the educational program that children beg to play. They will appeal to parents, however, and form a good first purchase for most parents and cover a wide range of skill and abilities.
