Crazy Castle's carrot-hunting bunny
Bugs Bunny In Crazy Castle 4
Everyone's favourite rabbit is the star of this new game from Kemco. Bugs has found a mystical map and the over-confident rabbit is searching for his all-time favourite nosh - carrots! Our hero is looking around what he believes to be Carrot Castle but the 'C' on the map actually stands for 'Crazy' not 'Carrots' (wishful thinking on Bugs's part)!
Instead, it appears to be full of doorways leading to treasure chests, which contain keys. Collect eight and you're through to the next level. Easy as that? Not quite!
It's rabbit season and the legendary hunter Elmer Fudd is out to get the bunny in question. As Bugs, if you so much as touch Elmer, or one of your other enemies, a life is lost. These villains securely guard doorways, which doesn't sound too terrible, but they come upon you when you're least expecting it. Add to this the fact that these characters can't be seen clearly on the Game Boy Color screen and you're in for one hare-raising (Geddit?) time - the scenery camouflages them and you just keep bumping into your enemies unexpectedly.
The game is very slow to start with, as you roam around a stone maze simply searching for keys. There are few enemies at this stage, so the level is easy to complete, but laborious because it is difficult to remember where you have been before. You tend to tread the same ground over and over again. Having said that, it is only the first level and the game obviously gets more varied and interesting as you make your way through it.
Crazy Castle 4 consists of increasingly difficult versions of mazes, where the objective is to collect items which are going to make your life easier. To rid you of your enemies, various traps and obstacles can be used, such as a shield to protect you, a clock to freeze your rivals and even a shoe, which enables you to whizz past the nasty characters.
If you're looking for a fairly easy game to complete, Crazy Castle 4 could be the one. It is ideal for smaller people, who we're sure will get plenty of enjoyment out of fooling and outwitting well-known characters from the famous cartoons. If you're expecting simple fun with some challenge, this game is for you!
Second Opinion
There can't be anyone who doesn't instantly recognise Bugs Bunny! After Mickey Mouse, he's probably the most famous cartoon face in the world!
This makes him a prime target for videogames, but sadly they're not always up to quality of the cartoon capers he stars in!
Although Crazy Castle 4 is fun for a while, it doesn't have much longevity but if you're after a quick burst of gaming, give it a try.
