Grab your hard hat - Bob needs your help!
Bob The Builder
It's a hard life being a builder - or at least, it is if your name is Bob. There are just so many jobs to be done, and poor old Bob and his mates have got to get them all finished before they can have any fun! It's a good thing us Game Boy owners are here to lend a hand...
Bob'll Fix It For You
In this simple little game based on the successful BBC children's show. It's your job to help Bob and his smiling machine mates with a number of tasks so that they can enjoy a nice picnic. Definitely one for the younger Game Boy fan (ages three years and up, according to the packaging), the selection of ten mini-games are designed to ensure that even the youngest of handymen can successfully complete them.
Out in the yard, the machines are waiting with their tasks. Ranging from flattening bumpy road surfaces with Roley to rescuing ducks, collecting apples and repairing walls, these are all against the clock, but are very basic. Inside the office, meanwhile, there are more challenges waiting for Bob himself, all taking the form of very similar platform-style games, where crucial items must be collected beore the big picnic can take place...
Easy As 1-2-3
The pace of play in Bob The Builder is, at times, very slow, but the creators have included three difficulty settings to jazz things up a little and raise the challenge. Ultimately, though, anyone past a young age will probably find Bob's activities a little on the tedious side, but the fix it king of kids' TV will doubtless appeal to his countless young fans!
Second Opinion
Bob The Builder - can he fix it? Yes he can, in this surprisingly enjoyable toddler's title from the Beeb. The British Broadcasting Corporation are still beginners in the videogame business, but this is a cheerful little cart nonetheless.
It's quite simple for an adult to complete, but there are various difficulty settings which make it worth a play for kids of any age. All together now... "Bob and the gang have lots of fun, working together, they get the job..."
