Now you can sink Battleships on the go!

Battleships

What can you say about this classic old pencil 'n paper to Game Boy Color creation? It's... erm... Battleships, really. Each player has a grid where our water-based ships (an aircraft carrier, battleship, destroyer and submarine) are placed. Your opponent doesn't know where you plonked yours and vice versa.

By taking one turn at a time, you've got to guess where the enemy ships are - simple, eh? The trick is to try to find the trickier small craft, of which there are two. The tension builds as you get that whistle-y bomb noise, then the dreaded message that you've missed. It's really satisfying when you mae a hit, and the game converts perfectly onto the handheld format.

With the added bonus of special items (be it a four square radar or tipple missiles), you'll be shouting "You sank my battleship!" for hours to come. Hit, miss or maybe... it's a hit!
