Angle, from Chalksoft, is a
package of four programs which
go together in pairs - a
demonstration program and a
program where the new know
ledge is put into practice.
The first demonstration program
measures angles as fractions of
a turn, relates these
fractions to degrees and then
estimates angles in terms of
degrees.
The second demonstration
program shows how to use an
angle indicator (a protractor to
measure 360 degrees).
Angles are drawn and the
angle indicator superimposed.
The angle is then read off the
scale. Both programs are clear
and helpful, the second particularly
so.
Each contain sufficient exam
ples to put the points across
clearly.
The interactive programs use
the knowledge learned from the
previous program and there
were no ambiguous questions.
Unfortunately there is no help
if the wrong answer is given.'
This package is most useful in
the classroom. The development
of the content is well thought out
and works well in practice.
