Oh God, why do I bother? This is a diabolical platform game which invites you to plunge deeper and deeper into what have to be the world's most boring dungeons, done almost entirely in black and white, with the number keys 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 controlling left, right, up, down and fire. And, I kid you not, these controls are not redefinable.
The game has this sort of hellish feel to it. It starts with a one-track dirge playing over a language selection screen and you have to read a completely irrelevant backstory before the so-called game begins. There's precious little to do apart from move and there's only one way through the mazes. Half-mutated rodents appear and fall into your path, slowing down the background dirge to painful levels and half-glitching as they move, so copies of their legs get 'left behind' on screen (or at least they do in the popular ZXSpin emulator).
The vertical scrolling is, to be fair, fair enough. But the game is just absolutely soulless. Why is it called Four Sevens? Absolutely no idea, and absolutely not curious enough to play it to find out. Really I have no idea why Anhot Studio inflicted this on anyone. Instantly forgettable dross.
