102 Dalmatians: Puppies To The Rescue

The first live-action 101 Dalmatians movie starring Glenn Close and Hugh Laurie was a success - so they've made another one. The fact that no sequel exists to the original story wasn't likely to put Disney off making a few bucks, now was it? This is the game that goes with the new film. Hence the title.

Spotty!

102 Dalmatians: Puppies To The Rescue isn't bad, as rushed-out movie tie-in platform games go. You play one of the mischievious pups as you race around cruel Cruella De Vil's toy factory, saving your snivelling siblings and avoiding maniacal mechanical monsters. Every level is pretty much the same as the last, but there are enough surprises to keep you interested for a while.

Plug, Fatty And Toots

The graphics are very detailed and smooth, and the sound's okay. Just when you're bored of releasing the pups, the game throws in a little twist featuring characters from the movie, and you're treated to a couple of entertaining mini-games when you've foiled Cruella's plans. Could be worse, basically. It's a dog's game, innit?
