The Magic Isle ============== Introduction ------------ Butting its way through the thick grey mists that surrounded it, the small boat approached a narrow shingle beach which signified the edge of the "MAGIC ISLE". As its bottom rasped up the shingle and the boat became firmly lodged on dry land, Allana knew that the second part of his epic journey was about to begin ... Perhaps when it was all over he would be welcomed into the guild as an adventurer of great standing and he could take his place amongst the many others who recounted their tales over a tankard of foaming mead. Maybe his name would be inscribed on the "roll of honour" that hung over the great fireplace ... Maybe, just maybe, he would be the one chosen to sit at the head of the table on feast nights. Such thoughts ran amok in the head of young Allana as he gazed around him and wondered just what his next move should be ... At last the semi-legendary Palmer P. Eldritch has finally seen fit to put the finishing touches to the second part of the tale of Alaric and his "legacy". It has been many, many moons since the original A Legacy For Alaric was first thrust into the hands of eager adventurers, but at last the chance has come for them all to continue their various quests ... The Magic Isle is the logical follow-on to A Legacy For Alaric and full of the same intriguing puzzles and unquestionable humour of its predecessor. Join Allana on the shingle beach and see if you can solve the mysteries that need to be solved in order to gain entrance to the infamous "Guild of Adventurers". For those who were never fortunate enough to have played the original there is a copy of it, slightly modified, on the other side of the tape. For those who have already completed it... Fear not, all those little precious items you gathered on your first quest are to be found in the boat and are yours to do with as you wish in Allana's search for the missing Alaric ... All you have to do is locate Alaric and free him from the clutches of the Dwarves that hold him captive on the Island of Moira ... the infamous "Magic Isle". Notes ----- The game is a stand-alone game and there is NO need to play part one before playing part two, although it will help to provide a thread of continuance if you do. Also there is no need to load any data from part one into part two in order to continue your journey. The sack will hold up to NINE (9) items, so to use it to its fullest simply PUT (object) INTO SACK or else TAKE (object) FROM SACK. The game will accept the use of RAMSAVE and RAMLOAD in order to save/load a position to memory (RAM) but always use the standard SAVE and LOAD to store a more permanent position on TAPE.
