Roboticks In Theory And Practice II =================================== Roboticks In Theory And Practice II ----------------------------------- Further robotic puzzle scenarios for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum from Denis Grachev and the Bumfun Software Institute Featuring the research tools: S.I.P. and Join Following on from part one, this interactive workbook continues to build and reinforce the trusting and mutually beneficial relationship that we ask all of our lab trainees to develop with their robotic counterparts. Work with the test programs to establish a more thorough understanding of your job whilst learning how to avoid any mistakes that may arise, thus avoiding total corporeal dissolution. S.I.P. ------ Guide your paint dispensing automaton around the various Zero-G test chambers. It is equipped with a complex gravity-flipping device that can be activated whenever you wish and, on doing so, will immediately reverse the gravity field around it, resulting in it being expelled from the platform on which it is standing at that given moment. The automaton is also equipped with magnetic limpets on the base which act as "feet" Using these "feet", it can traverse each section within the test chamber. The paint-dispensing mechanism is also housed inside these "feet" and if the automaton passes over an unpainted section of the test chamber, it will dispense paint. The purpose of the exercise is to ensure that you, the technician, understand the concept of gravity subversion and are also familiar with interior decoration, should we ever wish to redecorate the lab interior in the event of gravity suddenly being "off". Paint each surface completely to clear each test chamber. Game Controls ------------- O - Walk one way, P - Walk the other way, SPACE - Engage gravity flip (The direction of walking will change depending on the gravity flip. You must learn via experience.) Join ---- In this particular exercise you are tasked with once again subverting gravity to your own ends. We are not particularly sure what our lab technicians will gain from this task but failure to complete it will result in them being completely dissolved in acid. We recommend that this exercise is completed in a timely manner to avoid this. You will have control of the gravity subversion device "R-5oul" and the task in each test is to collect the hearts. There is no reason for this, we just thought it would appeal to the "humanity" of the technician taking the test so that we may isolate the trait and eliminate it. The "R-5oul" device continually flips gravity. All you must do is move it left or right. As soon as all hearts are collected, it will be transported to the next chamber. Bear this in mind as the order in which you collect the hearts will often determine your ability to leave with the device intact. We have painted a "happy" face on "R-5oul" so that he appeals to test subjects. However, he has been programmed to be utterly miserable on the inside, thus preserving an emotional equilibrium.
