About The Authors

Rodnay Zaks received his Ph.D in Computer Science
from the University of California, Berkeley. A pioneer in
the use of microprocessors for industrial applications, Zaks
has authored many best-selling books on microprocessors.

Since 1973, William Labiak has been involved with mini-
and micro-computer applications. He received his Master of
Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University
of Illinois. Labiak is now working on the development of
large computer networks for industrial control and
scientific applications for alternative energy sources.
