Flipull ======= Game Objective -------------- An exciting cube game, originally by Taito. The object of Flipull is to throw coloured blocks at the pile, to make it smaller. A stage is complete when no moves are left and the pile equals or is below the number of blocks denoted by the "clear" marker (top right of screen). Try to line up the colour you hold with the same colour blocks in the pile. When you hit the 'throw' key, your block will remove any similar coloured blocks until it hits a different colour. Above the pile you will see an inverted staircase. If your block hits this at the correct angle, it will ricochet downwards. This allows you to attack the pile from both the right and from above. You start the standard game with three lives. You lose a life when you are unable to remove any blocks from the pile. Your can bank your shots down off the deflectors along the top left, or simply throw at the blocks to your left. The block you last hit on your throw becomes the block you get for your next throw. The computer generally knows when you cannot make a shot - but if you notice that no shot is available, hit the S key. This will switch your block to a yellow "super block" (= wildcard/lives remaining), or, if you are below the clear number, then it will signal the completion of the stage. The advanced mode of Flipull has 16 set-piece stages. The object of each stage is to wind up with four blocks of each colour, including the shot block. You only have 25 lives/super blocks to solve all sixteen stages. Staircase Steps --------------- The staircase is plotted differently each game to vary the difficulty level and provide the player with a greater challenge. Scoring ------- Removing a Block (with one block) ... 100 points Removing a Row (with one block) ... 2,500 points In normal mode you earn a super block at 20,000 points, and every 30,000 points thereafter.
