World Geography =============== The Program ----------- The program should automatically run after loading. There are two sections to load. The first section displays the map and the second section is the test. Let the cassette run until you are prompted with "Which categories?" The object of the program is to test the user's knowledge of the capitals and/or populations of the countries of the world. The approximate position of each country is shown on a map of the world, displayed on the screen. This feature is particularly useful in the cases of the smaller and less well-known countries. The countries are divided into eight categories denoted by the letters A-H. Category A consists of the most well-known countries, whereas category H is the least well-known ones. The user may select to be tested upon any combination of these categories by giving the appropriate response to the prompt: Which categories? For example, to be tested upon the countries from category B together with the countries from category D, the user should type BD. The test will consist of all the countries from these categories, selected at random. In addition, the user may select to be tested upon the capital and/or the populations by replying YES or NO, as appropriate, in response to the prompts: Do you want a test on the capitals? and Do you want a test on the populations? A 20% range of error is allowed in answering the questions on the populations and, in order to save typing, the user may type the letter M as an abbreviation for million when inputting a population figure. At the end of the test, your score is given and you are invited to try again. Loading ------- CHAIN"" (RETURN)
