Space Crusade (Gremlin)
Very impressive graphics... The twelve missions on offer range between easy-peasy and downright impossible... Go out and buy it today!
Shoot-'Em-Up Construction Kit (Gremlin)
With a bit of forward-planning and intelligent game design, there's no reason why any game programmed with this won't be good enough to publish. Give it a go - it's fun!
Navy Moves (The Hit Squad)
Average graphics and the ridiculously hard mine-hopping section is a pain. Only buy it if you have no more hair to pull out.
Championship Wrestling (Kixx)
Much too complicated for any real control, uninspiring graphics and mediocre sounds.
Saint Dragon (Kixx)
Not a brilliant conversion of a not-too-brilliant coin-op.
International 3D Tennis (GBH Gold)
Good stuff...! The accuracy of play and the sheer depth of the game is mind-boggling.
Airborne Ranger (Kixx)
Load, choose your mission, load, play the sub-game, load again, then ask yourself 'is it really worth it?'.
Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge (GBH Gold)
Compulsive two-player gameplay... Top-notch programming... Well worth blowing a gasket over!
4 Most Fight And Fright (Codemasters)
Nothing brilliant on offer here, but reasonable value for the four quid price tag.
Multimixx 5 (Kixx)
More than just a games compilation, it's a slice of C64 history.
Hit Pack #1 (Zeppelin Games)
If you haven't got Kenny Dalglish, Hit Pack #1 is a worthy purchase. If you have, don't bother.
Power Hits Volume 1 (Activision)
Ten generally good games on a single disk ain't bad value for under twenty quid. Last Ninja is the only blockbuster though.
Bonanza Bros. (U. S. Gold)
You might get a bit bored playing on your own, but if you enjoy a good two-player romp, then Bonanza Bros. is an essential purchase.
Winter Super Sports (Flair)
This game is miles more fun with a friend or two (or three or four) but even on your own it's a gas.
Murray Mouse: Supercop (Codemasters)
I was glued to the screen... For experienced arcade adventurers, this game shouldn't take that long, but the process is still a lot of fun.
Biff (Beyond Belief)
An enjoyable introduction for arcade-adventuring novices.
Soccer Pinball (Codemasters)
I've seen better C64 pinball games, but inevitably I've also seen worse. Worth considering, if you like the game type.
There's two separate tapes: one for the sub-games, the other for the levels... More time is spent loading than playing.
The graphics are terrible, and the game design's just cobblers.
Stryker In The Crypt Of Trogan (Codemasters)
A messy-looking, bog-standard arcade adventure with lacks all of Switchblade's best features and retains the worst...!
Puffy's Saga (The Hit Squad)
Buy something more playable than this. There's a lack of gameplay, a frustratingly long multi-load and the creatures become too vicious too quickly.
The Spy Who Loved Me (The Hit Squad)
As Bond licences go, this'll make you want to 'smersh' your tape in frustration.
Shadow Warriors (The Hit Squad)
There are loads of good beat-'em-ups around which are better than this.
