Linked reviews are available to view in full on this site.
PowerMonger (Electronic Arts)
One of the most absorbing games around, once you've finally worked out how to proceed,
Must be one of the most original arcade games! It's easy enough to get to grips with the controls straightaway, but the gameplay is challenging enough to keep you coming back for more.
Robocop 2 (Ocean)
This is tough - tougher than is perhaps necessary, but not unbeatable... The desire to continue and win through surpasses the desire to switch off and do something easier - and that's the mark of a good game.
S.T.U.N. Runner (Domark)
There's little to recommend this game. It's far too slow. I'd recommend you nip down the arcade and play the original instead.
Matrix Marauders (Psyclapse)
For all its nice touches, Matrix Marauders remains a fairly ordinary racing game.
Horror Zombies From The Crypt (Millennium)
A great idea, cleverly executed and with enough collectable bonuses to keep you playing for hours on end.
Battle Command (Ocean)
This one certainly comes up with the goods. It's very high quality, from the hi-tech weapons to the fast animation.
Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles (Image Works)
It may scale the software charts on the strength of Turtlemania, but you're going to need a frontal lobotomy if you want to play this for more than a couple of hours.
Line Of Fire (U. S. Gold)
This is a horrendous game. It's nothing like its hugely absorbing arcade parent and there's little here for anyone, even the most forgiving novice.
Mystical's gameplay isn't particularly deep. However, it's the graphics and sound that make the game.
Definitely one for the eggheads - you'll take a long, long time to master its subtleties.
Prince Of Persia (Domark)
Enormously entertaining... If you're looking for something you can impress your friends with and still be addicted to after a marathon 12-hour playing stint, this is it.
E-Swat (U. S. Gold)
E-Swat is actually an anagram of Waste, which is a fitting coincidence. It'll provide you a maximum of five minutes entertainment before you fall asleep.
Judge Dredd (Virgin Games)
Another mediocre licence to join the rest of them in our circular filing cabinet.
Damocles Mission Disk (Novagen Software Ltd)
Five new games to beat... Fans of the original are sure to love these missions.
Edd The Duck (Zeppelin Games)
Gameplay is quite good... I can see this appealing to the younger ST user.
Finale Compilation ()
Ivan 'Ironman' Stewart's Super Off-Road (Virgin Games)
A nice game ruined by grotty control.
Ninja Remix (System 3)
A considerable improvement on the original Last Ninja 2, although it's still very awkward when you try to pick something up.
Prof Looks At Words/Prof Makes Sentences (Prisma)
Prisma claim their 'Play And Read' series will, eventually form a "comprehensive reading tutor" - and there's no reason to doubt their statement. Recommended.
Hooray For Henrietta (Scetlander)
A program which, in a limited way, helps to encourage basic numeracy and provides parents and teachers with a record of children's progress. Recommended.
