Eddie Edwards' Super Ski (Loriciels)
Great graphics and fast-moving action, but not really enough game in there.
Even better than its prequel Driller... More logical problems and a tighter time limit.
Captain Blood is a vast improvement on recent Infogrames products, but still lacks a little something in the gameplay department.
Good fun to play, even if it does lose out on originality.
The searching and blasting aspects have been mixed well to produce an enjoyable, if unoriginal game.
Eight levels of increasing difficulty but they're all basically the same.
Poor graphics and frustrating gameplay. Another boring kill the monsters game.
It won't get your adrenalin pumping because it's a war of attrition. However it gets tough later on, even if the action is very predictable.
The Race Against Time (Codemasters)
Plenty of problems to solve... Only having one life is enormously frustrating.
It's unusual for a board game to convert well to a computer, but this is a pleasant exception.
Ten different opponents of increasing difficulty. But, once you've beaten them all, there's nothing left to do.
A challenging management game that is let down a little by presentation.
Colourful with a large playing area full of robots... But a simple mistake can make the game impossible to complete!
If haven't already got a snooker game then at a budget price it's good value.
Time And Magik (Level 9/Mandarin)
I can't help feeling sorry for anyone who doesn't add this jewel to their collection.
