I've been collecting Acorn Electron games for over two decades and, in all that time, I've seen the Acorn Electron 3.5" disc version of Codename: Droid twice. Yes, I kid you not. I've seen two of them. Ever. I suspect that it's one of the rarest versions of the classic game ever to be released.
Its scarcity is somewhat surprising, considering that it was released on 3.5" disc just after Acorn Computers released its official Acorn Plus 3 disc expansion. Other 3.5" disc games (Palace Of Magic, Elixir, etc) seem to have sold in much larger numbers. One would imagine those people who were lucky enough to own an Acorn Plus 3 would be eager to buy at least some disc games for it, making the incredibly small number of sales somewhat mystifying.
If you are intending to try and collect up the small set of Superior/Acornsoft disc-based games for the Electron, this one is certainly the Holy Grail.
